Three Easy Steps to Prepare for Your Boudoir Session, Miami Boudoir Photographer

Some of you may know this about me, but, I LOVE New York City. It is one of my favorite places in the world. I sometimes book a trip on a whim and then I  suddenly freeze because I do not have an itinerary or to-do list in place for when I visit. It's like, whenever I decide to do something for myself and I take that initial step, I suddenly do not know what to do next! I am sitting here wondering if I am the only one that goes through this. Are you with me?!

But then I tell myself, "you got this D!" And I start preparing and researching the one thing that is non-negotiable for me, museum visits.

Boudoir Sessions are similar to making travel plans. You first decide you want to have one, then you book your dream boudoir photographer (hopefully me!), you immediately go into thinking about what to do next, and then you have to plan and prepare.

How do I prepare for my Boudoir Session you ask? Well, I've got all the answers for you!

Three Easy Steps to Prepare for your Boudoir Session

1. Be Excited. Yeap, you read that correctly! Be excited! It’s that simple. Tell your Best Friend! Why? Because by booking this Boudoir Session you have made the decision to show yourself some love and that deserves to be celebrated. AND when you tell your Best Friend all about it she will be equally excited for YOU!

2. Meet with Your Photographer. Make sure you schedule a creative meeting with your photographer via phone, Skype or in person. During this meeting, you should decide location details of your shoot and have all of your questions and concerns addressed. Identifying the purpose of your boudoir session and setting intentions for your shoot are pivotal. Map out a plan with your photographer and most importantly, remember that these portraits are to celebrate you.

3. What to Wear. One of the most questions I get is "what should I wear for my shoot?" - and my answer is to always wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Sometimes, that means a lace bodysuit, a piece of fabric, just panties, or nothing at all. The most important thing is that we are representing you in the best way and that you feel AMAZING.

be Excited!

By booking a boudoir session you just made the decision to do something for yourself and that in itself deserves to be celebrated!

Just to recap, follow these three easy steps to prepare for your Boudoir Session:

  1. Be Excited - you’re celebrating YOU!

  2. Map out a plan and set intentions for your session by having a creative meeting with your Photographer

  3. Wear what ever makes you feel comfortable
